We look at the Egyptian's most impressive feats, following the news he will leave Liverpool this summer After Mohamed Salah announced that he is leaving Liverpool at the end of this season, we look at the records he's broken since joining the Reds from Roma in 2017. The Egyptian has established himself as one of the best players in Premier League history, playing pivotal roles in both of Liverpool's title triumphs in 2019/20 and 2024/25. Here are some of Salah's most notable stats and the record he could still break. Only three players have scored more Premier League goals than Salah (191): Alan Shearer (260), Harry Kane (213) and Wayne Rooney (208). Of Salah's 191 goals in the Premier League, 189 have been scored in Liverpool's colours. He became Liverpool's all-time top Premier League goalscorer in memorable fashion, scoring twice in a 7-0 win over Manchester United at Anfield in March 2023 to surpass Robbie Fowler's record (128). Salah is one of only four Liverpool players to score 100 or more goals in the competition, along with Fowler, Steven Gerrard (120) and Michael Owen (118). Salah is both the highest-scoring African player and highest-scoring non-Englishman in the competition's history. His former Liverpool team-mate Sadio Mane is the next highest-scoring African player with 111 goals, with Didier Drogba on 104. This is the record Salah could break before he leaves at the end of the season. His assist for Virgil van Dijk in Liverpool's 1-0 victory at Sunderland moved him level with former captain Steven Gerrard on 92 Premier League assists for the club - if he can set up one more goal in any of Liverpool's remaining seven league matches this season, Salah will hold the record outright. Salah has a total of 93 assists in the Premier League, given he also registered one with former club Chelsea in 2013/14. This tally places him joint-seventh in the competition's history, alongside former Manchester City midfielder David Silva. Salah has won four Premier League Golden Boots, level with Thierry Henry. He won them in the following seasons: 2017/18 (with 32 goals), 2018/19 (22 goals), 2021/22 (23 goals) and 2024/25 (29 goals). Salah's assist for Hugo Ekitike during a 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion in December took him to 277 direct goal involvements in the Premier League for Liverpool. That is the most of any player in the competition's history and took him above Rooney, who supplied 276 for Man Utd. He now has 281 direct goal involvements for the Reds. Salah registered 47 goal involvements (29 goals, 18 assists) in the 2024/25 campaign. Previously, the most in a 38-game season was 44, shared by Henry (2002/03) and Erling Haaland (2022/23). Salah has directly contributed towards 152 Premier League goals at Anfield (107 goals, 45 assists). That is more than Rooney (151 at Old Trafford) and Henry (151 at Highbury). Salah is the first, and so far only, player to win each of the Premier League's Player of the Season, Golden Boot and Golden Playmaker awards, even managing to win all three in 2024/25. Salah has 281 goal involvements in total, 278 for Liverpool and three for Chelsea. Salah moved into third place in Liverpool's all-time top scorer charts in March 2025, when he scored twice in a 3-1 win over Southampton. The Egyptian has scored 255 times for the club. Only Ian Rush (346) and Roger Hunt (285) have scored more times for Liverpool. Timed at six minutes and 12 seconds, Salah scored the fastest Champions League hat-trick in the competition's history in a 7-1 win against Rangers in October 2022. In Liverpool's first-leg last-16 match against Galatasaray, Salah surpassed the record for most matches played in the UEFA Champions League/European Cup for the Reds. He made his 81st appearance for the club, moving ahead of former centre-back Jamie Carragher's tally of 80. Salah is now 82 games after playing in the return leg against the Turkish side. The Egyptian became the first African player to reach 50 Champions League goals, reaching the milestone on his 97th appearance in the competition during Liverpool's 4-0 win over Galatasaray. Salah's sensational 2024/25 season earned him the PFA Players' Player of the Year award for a record-breaking third time, following on from his successes in 2017/18 and 2021/22.
