Thanks for your company on what was a goal-laden day. Look out for the St Mirren and Aberdeen manager interviews on our dedicated club pages. Join us again tomorrow for Livingston v Hearts and Dundee v Celtic. FT: Motherwell 2-3 Falkirk Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou tells BBC Scotland: "Falkirk deserve all the credit they've had. They're a brilliant football team and I put them up there among the best. Congratulations to them for the win and what they've achieved so far. "In terms of intentions, willpower, work rate, our performance was good but there were a lot of moments where we should have been better. Both in attacking moments, leading to attacks, but also there were moments to score goals we didn't take but there were moments we lost the ball in critical places where we have to be better. "When we play against the best then we need, sometimes, the things we cannot control to also go our way, so far this season that has not happened. I have been hoping that, eventually, it will go our way. "There's a clear penalty on Tawanda Maswanhise, it is very clear Liam Henderson wipes him out. That's a clear penalty and a potential red card. After seven minutes we should have been 1-1. It was a massively decisive moment that, for some reason, they cannot get right. "I think the penalty against Ibrahim Said is very debatable. I have seen situations like that many, many times where those situations haven't been given as a penalty. " Highlights from today's top flight games will be coming your way at 19: 15 on BBC Scotland. FT: Rangers 4-2 Dundee United Rangers head coach Danny Rohl tells BBC Scotland: "It feels good because we won the game today. This is a big complimnent to my group. It shows a lot about the character and mentality and quality to win games. "It's not just that we win games, but also we score a lot of goals as well. That's also a big compliment to the group. "I like clean sheets and the last two games we've conceded one and then two today. It's a little bit too much for me because we needed four goals and in some games you won't have the chance for four goals. "We need to be stronger against the ball. But we want to play exciting football and in some phases of the game we played enjoyable football. "Now we have to move on. At 2-0 and 3-1 you feel our quality - we were finding the spaces and being really brave. But then you bring your opponent back which was unnecessary. The 2-1 can happen, but the 3-2 we should never allow because we had a lot of situations before to score four or five. "We took our three points and did our hard work. I don't focus on opponents - if we win six games, we win the league. " FT: Hibernian 3-0 Kilmarnock Kilmarnock manager Neil Mc Cann tells BBC Scotland: "It was just the worst possible start you could have coming here. We stabilised, but losing such an early goal rocked us, spooked us, and lifted Hibs. "We were a wee bit rattled and that's when you're looking for a wee bit of leadership to settle things down. After that initial period, we were the better side throughout the match. "The start kills us, and they score right at the death to compound the misery. But we probably didn't deserve anything from the game because of our quality. "When we got into the right areas, we didn't have any quality in the final third and that's what makes the final difference. " FT: Hibernian 3-0 Kilmarnock That opening goal from Owen Elding was clocked at 13 seconds, making it the quickest goal in the Scottish Premiership this season. Kris Boyd still holds the record in the competition (established 2013-14) with his goal after 10 seconds for Kilmarnock against Ross County in January 2017. FT: Hibernian 3-0 Kilmarnock Hibernian head coach David Gray tells BBC Scotland: "That's the dream start for any coach, you want to start as well as you can. We wanted to get the crowd behind us immediately. "In the first 20 minutes we found ourselves 2-0 up, deservedly so, then Kilmarnock came into the game. From then, Killie got momentum off the back of [their disallowed goal]. "The second half, I'd like us to be better. We gave them a bit of confidence, but it's hard to win games of football and we restricted them to very little. "We know we can play better. We can't be inconsistent. I'm certainly pleased that we've won 3-0 at home, clean sheet. " FT: Motherwell 2-3 Falkirk Falkirk manager John Mc Glynn tells BBC Scotland "it feels amazing" to secure their top six status. "It was a little struggle to get over the line but we certainly put on a great performance today, " he says. "I'm so pleased and so proud of the players. We would never have thought we would have been just coming up from the Championship after that quick step from League One. "I can't speak highly enough of the players, they deserve to be there. I'm delighted for everyone at the football club. "As much as we've been invincible [in League One] and won the Championship, this is probably the greatest achievement. We've come into the top league and we've not just tried to defend and look for a point here and there. We play attractive, attacking football, in my opinion anyway. Hopefully there is still more to come from us. " FT: Motherwell 2-3 Falkirk Martin Dowden BBC Sport Scotland at Fir Park Three years ago, I'm sure not one Falkirk fan would have imagined they would sit in the top six of the Scottish Premiership come the end of this campaign. From League One, their ascent has been unbelievable. So many deserve credit but Calvin Miller has been an absolute stand-out all along this ride and he was terrific again today. Motherwell can have few complaints. They have hit a little bump in the road at the business end of this campaign and now have a genuine fight on for a fourth-place finish. Calvin Miller scored Falkirk's third from the penalty spot How will Hearts respond to being knocked off their perch for the first time since September? They visit bottom side Livingston tomorrow. Third-placed Celtic take on Dundee. A quick recap on a day packed with goals. .. Rangers are top of the Premiership pile on goal difference. Falkirk clinch their top six place with a second win of the season at Fir Park. Hibs are now three points behind Motherwell in the battle for fourth. St Mirren's win over Aberdeen means both sides sit on 30 points, three above Kilmarnock in the play-off spot. FT: St Mirren 2-0 Aberdeen Aberdeen will be relegated for the first time in their history. Been coming for months. Players have officially given up. A truly dark chapter for a wonderful club. Graeme Aberdeen had their four best players on the bench for the first half, put three of them on for the second half and looked a lot better, well it was the one-man Stuart Armstrong team, but better. St Mirren won a lot of corners and free kicks and have won every single header, it's what they do. No surprise they eventually score from one of them. Two terrible football teams, one slightly better than the other. Airdrie leapfrog Ross County at the foot of the table after a thumping win and we've got four teams on 36 points from fifth to eighth. Josh Fowler scored St Johnstone's third goal Scottish Championship Arbroath 2-4 St Johnstone Ayr United 1-1 Partick Thistle Dunfermline Athletic 3-1 Greenock Morton Ross County 0-4 Airdrieonians A goal after 13 seconds is a great way to start and Hibs never looked back after Owen Elding's strike. Felix Passlack made it 2-0 and Ante Suto continued his scoring run from the bench right at the end. The Edinburgh side move three points behind Motherwell in the race for fourth place. Kilmarnock's struggles on the road continue and they stay 11th, three points behind St Mirren and Aberdeen. Owen Elding celebrates his very early goal Before this afternoon Falkirk were the only team to have won at Fir Park this season, now they've done it twice. A fully deserved three points for John Mc Glynn's side who secure a top-six spot on their return to the top flight. The visitors got off to a flyer, Barney Stewart hitting the net after three minutes when he headed home Calvin Miller's corner. Motherwell levelled courtesy of an excellent strike by Elliot Watt and poor goalkeeping from Scott Bain. Ben Broggio had a second for the visitors just before the break after a defensive blunder, then Miller added a penalty. Tawanda Maswanhise with a late consolation for Well, who have lost three of their last four games. Hibernian 3-0 Kilmarnock Rory Loy Former Kilmarnock striker on BBC Sportsound Kilmarnock get caught high up the pitch. It's a ping out to Martin Boyle and takes one touch. Can he deliver the ball on a plate? Yes he can, and Suto taps it home. Well, they made hard work of it in the end, but Rangers are top of the Premiership for the first time in two years. Goals from Ryan Naderi, Dujon Sterling, Thelo Aasgaard, and Bojan Miovski are enough to take them above Hearts on goal difference. United twice got back to a goal behind when Amar Fatah anmd Zac Sapsford netted on the break, but it was not enough and their top-six hopes are over. Dujon Sterling scored Rangers' second goal in an important win At a glance Rangers survive nervy end to go top of Premiership for first time in two years Naderi and Sterling put Ibrox side two goals up before Fatah replies for United Aasgard restores two-goal lead but Sapsford scores on break to set up tense finish Miovski nets Rangers' fourth with five minutes left to secure win Rangers are top of the Scottish Premiership for the first time in two years - but only after a frantic and ultimately nervy win against Dundee United at Ibrox. Long-time leaders Hearts can retake the position when they visit Livingston on Sunday, but for the first time since September will play with the pressure of being usurped, albeit only on goal difference. In a scrappy yet open game, Rangers eventually proved too strong for United - who had put a major dent in Celtic's title hopes last time out - but only after surviving late pressure. Ryan Naderi and Dujon Sterling put Rangers two goals in front despite some unconvincing play early on, before Amar Fatah's lovely finish on the break right on half-time quietened Ibrox. Thelo Aaasgaard restored Rangers' comfortable advantage just seven minutes into the second half after a fine move involving Tochi Chukwuani and Djeidi Gassama. But their inability to shut down a wide-open game or finish their chances left them vulnerable and United struck again on the break through Zac Sapsford to set up a nervy final quarter. United centre-back Iurie Iovu even headed off a post with six minutes to go as Rangers threatened to throw away victory. But all the tension was released when Bojan Miovski swept home their fourth goal from the edge of the box to take Rangers to the top of the league. At this stage of the season, winning is really all that matters for Rangers as they look to claim what would have been an unlikely league title seven months ago. Performances are secondary and perhaps it is just as well because Danny Rohl's side have yet to fully convince despite churning out victories. Here they created more chances than United and ultimately deserved their win - but in the first half their midfield struggled and they relied on some poor defending from the visitors to get in front. Firstly, Naderi was presented with a gift by goalkeeper Ashley Maynard-Brewer when he flapped at Aasgaard's shot from the edge of the box. And then Rangers capitalised when Naderi was completely unmarked at a throw-in, eventually working the ball to Sterling who did enough to convert with some help from Iovu. The introduction of Gassama and Youssef Chermiti at half-time improved Rangers as an attacking force, with the former delivering the ball on a plate for Aasgaard to make it 3-1. While Chermiti's driving run and pass helped Miovksi score the crucial fourth goal, the Portuguese striker should have netted at least one himself when presented with good chances. That profligacy and slack defending from John Souttar and Jayden Meghoma, as well as an open approach to the game, meant the home fans had to suffer a far more nervous ending than they should have. But the importance of applying psychological pressure to Hearts by usurping them, however briefly it may be, was huge and Rangers did enough to make it happen. As for United, this was a microcosm of their season. A lot of good pressure without the ball, as well as Fatah and others shining on the break. The Swedish forward's clean finish after stepping inside Souttar following a driving run from Emmanuel Agyei was superb. As was his pass inside Meghoma for Luca Stephenson, who set up Sapsford for the second goal. However, they were held back by some really poor defending. The mistakes for the first two goals in particular were frustrating given the positive start United had made. The fact they have not won back-to-back league games this season sums up their inconsistency and even manager Jim Goodwin would probably concede they do not deserve to finish in the top half. Rangers head coach Danny Rohl: "It feels good because we won the game today. This is a big compliment to my group. It shows a lot about the character and mentality and quality to win games. "It's not just that we win games, but also we score a lot of goals as well. That's also a big compliment to the group. But we want to play exciting football and in some phases of the game we played enjoyable football. " Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin: "We wanted to build on fourth place last year and knew how difficult that was going to be with the teams we were competing with when you consider the budgets of some of the teams above us in the league. "We felt we had enough in the group to be a top-six team and unfortunately we fell short. We know the areas we need to improve - we've conceded far too many goals over the course of the season.
