Newcastle goalkeeper earns the prize for third time after incredible stop from Zirkzee in March Aaron Ramsdale has won his first Coca-Cola Save of the Month award in almost three years for his wonder-stop from Joshua Zirkzee. The Newcastle United goalkeeper produced an incredible full-stretch to deny the Dutchman's long-range shot in the 89th minute of Newcastle United's 2-1 victory over Manchester United. It proved to be a pivotal moment, as the score was 1-1 and William Osula went up the other to score the winner for Newcastle just a minute later. Ramsdale's save completes an awards double for the Magpies, with Osula's individual effort being named the Guinness Goal of the Month. Ramsdale's third award, following on from winning in March and April 2023 at Arsenal, moves him joint-second in the all-time list, one behind Jordan Pickford, who won February's award. Three Newcastle goalkeepers have claimed the award since its inception in 2022/23, with Ramsdale joining Nick Pope (August 2022 and January 2023) and current Burnley shot-stopper Martin Dubravka (January 2025). Ramsdale won after votes from the public were combined with those of a panel of experts, topping a shortlist of six goalkeepers.
