The Scottish Premiership BBC Radio Scotland This video can not be played The Scottish Premiership BBC Radio Scotland Marcelo Saracchi's strike is the difference at the break. Celtic will be in slight disbelief that it's only one. Tyreece John-Jules What a finish! A Kilmarnock corner is only partially cleared and a shot back into the mass of players spins out to the left. John-Jules meets it with an acrobatic volley that Shamal George has no chance of saving. Don't miss it on Sportscene later. Motherwell 0-1 Rangers How close was that? ! Stephen O'Donnell sclaffs a back-post shot into the ground, but it loops up over Jack Butland and heads towards the back post. Motherwell players are waiting but Rangers midfielder Nico Raskin somehow flicks the ball off the line with his head. A remarkable clearance under pressure. Motherwell 0-1 Rangers Motherwell threaten again. Tawanda Maswanhise latches on to a ball over the top and beats Jack Butland to it. The angle is narrow, but Maswanhise manages to square it up and smacks the post. Did Butland get a touch on that? The referee says no. Goal kick only. Greg Kiltie Kilmarnock draw level just before the break. The hosts have shown plenty of willing but have lacked a bit of quality where it counts. That's changed as Findlay Curtis takes the ball on the right and delivers a perfect cross between St Mirren centre-backs. Greg Kiltie nips in and heads in the equaliser against his former club. Celtic 1-0 Livingston It's gone a bit quiet at Parkhead since that early flurry of chances. Falkirk 0-0 Dundee Best chance of the half, and it comes for the home side. The ball is fired across from the right and, after a couple of ricochets, Dylan Tait can't force his effort past Jon Mc Cracken from six yards out. Falkirk 0-0 Dundee Brian Mc Lauchlin BBC Sport Scotland at The Falkirk Stadium They may be playing into a very strong wind but it’s been Dundee who have been the more creative side in the opening 30 minutes. Falkirk yet to get to grips with the difficult conditions. Motherwell 0-1 Rangers Derek Ferguson Former Rangers midfielder on BBC Sportsound What's really impressive from Motherwell is that they're so sharp. It's the one touch football, the movement, the running off the ball. And they're causing Rangers problems. Motherwell are dominating the ball. Rangers have to respect the quality they've got. Falkirk 0-0 Dundee Dundee have played their way into this contest and are constructing some neat passing moves through the heart of the Falkirk defence. One of them results in Simon Murray seeing a close-range shot blocked, before a trademark driving run and one-two from Luke Graham ends with the defender earning his team a corner. Certainly no sign of fatigue from their weekend exertions at Parkhead. Motherwell 0-1 Rangers Rangers manage to get up the pitch for the first time since their goal, but Tochi Chukwuani's driven effort glides by Calum Ward's right-hand post. The visitors look dangerous on the break. Motherwell 0-1 Rangers Some nice football from Motherwell. Callum Slattery is showing some really nice touches, while Elijah Just has nicked the ball off the toes of a few Rangers defenders. However, the hosts fail to make the most of two free-kicks from dangerous, central positions. Those are the kind of chances Askou was talking about pre-game. Motherwell 0-1 Rangers There's a lot of gegenpressing going on at Fir Park. That's the German term for closing down opponents at a furious rate. No one has a second to dwell on the ball. Celtic 1-0 Livingston Arne Engels has gone down for Celtic with what looks like a quad problem. Reo Hatate is on in his place. Motherwell 0-1 Rangers Derek Ferguson Former Rangers midfielder on BBC Sportsound It's been an electric start. Motherwell could have taken the lead but it's Rangers on the break. What a lovely weight of pass. The timing of the run, Raskin did not panic, he just picked his spot down to the keeper's left-hand side. Motherwell 0-1 Rangers That's the first goal Motherwell have conceded at Fir Park in nine games. The last time they let one in at home, Danny Rohl had not yet taken over at Rangers. Celtic 1-0 Livingston Celtic pour forward again before Sebastian Tounekti fires well over the bar. This could be anything. Falkirk 0-0 Dundee Decent start in Falkirk, with both teams fashioning early shooting opportunities. Ben Broggio, the Aston Villa loanee, fires wide for the hosts before Cameron Congreve has a dig at the other end. Falkirk's Ben Broggio sends his shot wide Nico Raskin Lovely goal from Rangers, who go up the other end of the pitch and punish Motherwell. Mohamed Diomande breaks away in midfield and then slips the ball through the hosts' defence, finding Raskin who tucks away with aplomb when one-on-one. Clinical. Motherwell 0-0 Rangers Big chance for the hosts! It's the first time Motherwell have broken forward and Callum Slattery lays it off to Emmanuel Longelo in the box, but the left-back's shot is too close to Jack Butland and the keeper is able to save. At a glance Stephen Welsh's late strike holds Rangers to draw and rocks their charge in the Scottish Premiership title race Nico Raskin's sixth-minute strike looked likely to give Danny Rohl's side victory against the 10 men of Motherwell, who had Lukas Fadinger sent off Rangers now five points behind league leaders Hearts, who they play on Sunday, and just a point ahead of Celtic who scored a late winner against Livingston Rangers failed to match Hearts' pace in the Scottish Premiership title race as they conceded an 89th-minute equaliser to 10-man Motherwell, with the gap at the top of the table now five points wide. Nico Raskin's early goal looked like it had given Rangers victory, but on-loan Celtic defender Stephen Welsh lashed in a late leveller to spark frenzied scenes at Fir Park. There was only six minutes on the clock when Raskin put Rangers in front, just moments after Motherwell's Emmanuel Longelo had a shot saved. Rangers broke forward through Mohamed Diomande and when the Ivorian slipped through Raskin, the midfielder tucked the ball away with aplomb. It was the first goal Motherwell had conceded at home in nine matches, since before Danny Rohl had even been appointed Rangers boss, but they didn't let their heads drop. As has been typical of them this season, they continued to dominate the ball and create chances, with Tawanda Maswanhise hitting a post and Stephen O'Donnell seeing a sclaffed effort cleared off the line. Really though, it should have been 2-0 to the visitors before the break. Youssef Chermiti blocked a Welsh header at the back and went one-on-one, but his poked effort was straight at the keeper. The vim and vigour of the first half was not as evident in the second as Rangers started to slow the game down, frustrating their hosts and limiting their energetic midfield. Motherwell's task got that much harder when Lukas Fadinger flew into a tackle on Mikey Moore, catching the on-loan Spurs winger on the ankle with his studs. After a video assistant referee (VAR) review, he was off and the hosts had to play the final 13 minutes with 10 men. But in spite of that, there was time for a fight back as Welsh connected with Eythor Bjorgolffson's knock down in the box and added the latest twist to an unbelievable Premiership title race. The Gers had won six in a row against the Steelmen prior to this. Rangers are unbeaten in their last 31 league visits to Motherwell (W20 D11) since going down 1-0 in December 2002. Only at Greenock Morton have the Gers ever enjoyed a longer unbeaten away run in their league history (41 from 1920 to 1987). Motherwell have kept a clean sheet in each of their last eight home league games (W7 D1), winning their last five in a row. In the 21st century, the only side to keep nine successive home clean sheets in the Scottish top-flight are Celtic (twice – December 2013 to March 2014 & October 2024 to February 2025). Rangers have won seven of their last eight league games (D1), a run which started with a 1-0 win over Motherwell in December. Since that day, the Gers have earned at least eight more points than any side in the Scottish Premiership (22, Hibernian second with 14). Nicolas Raskin has created more chances from open play (33) than any other player in the Scottish Premiership this season, with his five assists the most of any Rangers player. Copyright © 2026 BBC.
