Dowman made his Arsenal debut as a 15-year-old Arsenal teenager Max Dowman has signed a scholarship contract with the Premier League club. BBC Sport reported in October that the academy graduate had agreed the contract which will see him move from schoolboy to scholarship terms. At 15 years and 234 days, he became the second-youngest player to represent the Gunners and the second-youngest to play in the Premier League - with team-mate Ethan Nwaneri, currently on loan at Marseille, holding both records. Dowman has since turned 16 and his new contract has now been completed. He is expected to sign his first professional contract when he turns 17 in December. The news is a huge boost to Arsenal given Dowman's standing as one of the most sought after young players in European football. Dowman has made five senior appearances this season but has spent a period out with an ankle injury.
