Thanks for your company on what was a goal-laden day. Look out for the St Mirren and Aberdeen manager interviews on our dedicated club pages. Join us again tomorrow for Livingston v Hearts and Dundee v Celtic. FT: Motherwell 2-3 Falkirk Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou tells BBC Scotland: "Falkirk deserve all the credit they've had. They're a brilliant football team and I put them up there among the best. Congratulations to them for the win and what they've achieved so far. "In terms of intentions, willpower, work rate, our performance was good but there were a lot of moments where we should have been better. Both in attacking moments, leading to attacks, but also there were moments to score goals we didn't take but there were moments we lost the ball in critical places where we have to be better. "When we play against the best then we need, sometimes, the things we cannot control to also go our way, so far this season that has not happened. I have been hoping that, eventually, it will go our way. "There's a clear penalty on Tawanda Maswanhise, it is very clear Liam Henderson wipes him out. That's a clear penalty and a potential red card. After seven minutes we should have been 1-1. It was a massively decisive moment that, for some reason, they cannot get right. "I think the penalty against Ibrahim Said is very debatable. I have seen situations like that many, many times where those situations haven't been given as a penalty. " Highlights from today's top flight games will be coming your way at 19: 15 on BBC Scotland. FT: Rangers 4-2 Dundee United Rangers head coach Danny Rohl tells BBC Scotland: "It feels good because we won the game today. This is a big complimnent to my group. It shows a lot about the character and mentality and quality to win games. "It's not just that we win games, but also we score a lot of goals as well. That's also a big compliment to the group. "I like clean sheets and the last two games we've conceded one and then two today. It's a little bit too much for me because we needed four goals and in some games you won't have the chance for four goals. "We need to be stronger against the ball. But we want to play exciting football and in some phases of the game we played enjoyable football. "Now we have to move on. At 2-0 and 3-1 you feel our quality - we were finding the spaces and being really brave. But then you bring your opponent back which was unnecessary. The 2-1 can happen, but the 3-2 we should never allow because we had a lot of situations before to score four or five. "We took our three points and did our hard work. I don't focus on opponents - if we win six games, we win the league. " FT: Hibernian 3-0 Kilmarnock Kilmarnock manager Neil Mc Cann tells BBC Scotland: "It was just the worst possible start you could have coming here. We stabilised, but losing such an early goal rocked us, spooked us, and lifted Hibs. "We were a wee bit rattled and that's when you're looking for a wee bit of leadership to settle things down. After that initial period, we were the better side throughout the match. "The start kills us, and they score right at the death to compound the misery. But we probably didn't deserve anything from the game because of our quality. "When we got into the right areas, we didn't have any quality in the final third and that's what makes the final difference. " FT: Hibernian 3-0 Kilmarnock That opening goal from Owen Elding was clocked at 13 seconds, making it the quickest goal in the Scottish Premiership this season. Kris Boyd still holds the record in the competition (established 2013-14) with his goal after 10 seconds for Kilmarnock against Ross County in January 2017. FT: Hibernian 3-0 Kilmarnock Hibernian head coach David Gray tells BBC Scotland: "That's the dream start for any coach, you want to start as well as you can. We wanted to get the crowd behind us immediately. "In the first 20 minutes we found ourselves 2-0 up, deservedly so, then Kilmarnock came into the game. From then, Killie got momentum off the back of [their disallowed goal]. "The second half, I'd like us to be better. We gave them a bit of confidence, but it's hard to win games of football and we restricted them to very little. "We know we can play better. We can't be inconsistent. I'm certainly pleased that we've won 3-0 at home, clean sheet. " FT: Motherwell 2-3 Falkirk Falkirk manager John Mc Glynn tells BBC Scotland "it feels amazing" to secure their top six status. "It was a little struggle to get over the line but we certainly put on a great performance today, " he says. "I'm so pleased and so proud of the players. We would never have thought we would have been just coming up from the Championship after that quick step from League One. "I can't speak highly enough of the players, they deserve to be there. I'm delighted for everyone at the football club. "As much as we've been invincible [in League One] and won the Championship, this is probably the greatest achievement. We've come into the top league and we've not just tried to defend and look for a point here and there. We play attractive, attacking football, in my opinion anyway. Hopefully there is still more to come from us. " FT: Motherwell 2-3 Falkirk Martin Dowden BBC Sport Scotland at Fir Park Three years ago, I'm sure not one Falkirk fan would have imagined they would sit in the top six of the Scottish Premiership come the end of this campaign. From League One, their ascent has been unbelievable. So many deserve credit but Calvin Miller has been an absolute stand-out all along this ride and he was terrific again today. Motherwell can have few complaints. They have hit a little bump in the road at the business end of this campaign and now have a genuine fight on for a fourth-place finish. Calvin Miller scored Falkirk's third from the penalty spot How will Hearts respond to being knocked off their perch for the first time since September? They visit bottom side Livingston tomorrow. Third-placed Celtic take on Dundee. A quick recap on a day packed with goals. .. Rangers are top of the Premiership pile on goal difference. Falkirk clinch their top six place with a second win of the season at Fir Park. Hibs are now three points behind Motherwell in the battle for fourth. St Mirren's win over Aberdeen means both sides sit on 30 points, three above Kilmarnock in the play-off spot. FT: St Mirren 2-0 Aberdeen Aberdeen will be relegated for the first time in their history. Been coming for months. Players have officially given up. A truly dark chapter for a wonderful club. Graeme Aberdeen had their four best players on the bench for the first half, put three of them on for the second half and looked a lot better, well it was the one-man Stuart Armstrong team, but better. St Mirren won a lot of corners and free kicks and have won every single header, it's what they do. No surprise they eventually score from one of them. Two terrible football teams, one slightly better than the other. Hamish Scottish League Two Clyde 3-1 Stirling Albion East Kilbride 2-1 Annan Athletic Edinburgh City 0-3 Spartans Forfar Athletic 2-1 Elgin City Stranraer 1-1 Dumbarton Scottish League One Cove Rangers 0-1 Alloa Athletic Kelty Hearts 1-1 Queen of the South Montrose 1-0 East Fife Stenhousemuir 3-0 Hamilton Academical It was looking dicey for St Johnstone at Gayfield at one stage but they stretch their lead to five points. Airdrie leapfrog Ross County at the foot of the table after a thumping win and we've got four teams on 36 points from fifth to eighth. Josh Fowler scored St Johnstone's third goal Scottish Championship Arbroath 2-4 St Johnstone Ayr United 1-1 Partick Thistle Dunfermline Athletic 3-1 Greenock Morton Ross County 0-4 Airdrieonians A goal after 13 seconds is a great way to start and Hibs never looked back after Owen Elding's strike. Felix Passlack made it 2-0 and Ante Suto continued his scoring run from the bench right at the end. The Edinburgh side move three points behind Motherwell in the race for fourth place. Kilmarnock's struggles on the road continue and they stay 11th, three points behind St Mirren and Aberdeen. Owen Elding celebrates his very early goal Before this afternoon Falkirk were the only team to have won at Fir Park this season, now they've done it twice. A fully deserved three points for John Mc Glynn's side who secure a top-six spot on their return to the top flight. The visitors got off to a flyer, Barney Stewart hitting the net after three minutes when he headed home Calvin Miller's corner. Motherwell levelled courtesy of an excellent strike by Elliot Watt and poor goalkeeping from Scott Bain. Ben Broggio had a second for the visitors just before the break after a defensive blunder, then Miller added a penalty. Tawanda Maswanhise with a late consolation for Well, who have lost three of their last four games. Hibernian 3-0 Kilmarnock Rory Loy Former Kilmarnock striker on BBC Sportsound Kilmarnock get caught high up the pitch. It's a ping out to Martin Boyle and takes one touch. Can he deliver the ball on a plate? Yes he can, and Suto taps it home. Well, they made hard work of it in the end, but Rangers are top of the Premiership for the first time in two years. Goals from Ryan Naderi, Dujon Sterling, Thelo Aasgaard, and Bojan Miovski are enough to take them above Hearts on goal difference. United twice got back to a goal behind when Amar Fatah anmd Zac Sapsford netted on the break, but it was not enough and their top-six hopes are over. Owen Elding celebrates with fellow scorer Felix Passlack At a glance Elding scores after 13 seconds before Passlack and Suto complete comfortable Hibs win Gray's side move closer to Motherwell in pursuit of European football Kilmarnock's two-game winning run ends as they remain in relegation play-off spot Owen Elding's goal after just 13 seconds helped Hibernian ease to victory against Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership and strengthen their push for European football. Hibs are now within three points of fourth-place Motherwell, who occupy the final guaranteed European spot, while Kilmarnock's revival lasted only two games. Striker Elding put the hosts in front before Kilmarnock had even touched the ball and it was 2-0 before the break. Elding's superb through ball found the on-rushing Jordan Obita, who squared for fellow wing-back Felix Passlack to tap in. Despite Hibs' dominance, Kilmarnock thought they had pulled one back through new Scotland cap Findlay Curtis. However, it was ruled out for offside against Brad Lyons, who cut the ball back to Curtis, as the Killie skipper was behind goalkeeper Raphael Sallinger. The Hibs number one was the second-last defender as Obita was off the pitch. Simple enough for the VAR to clear up. Kilmarnock had the better of the second half but failed to truly test Sallinger, before conceding a third with almost the last touch as substitutes Martin Boyle and Ante Suto combined, with the latter knocking in from close range. Given St Mirren's win over Aberdeen, second-bottom Kilmarnock are now three points adrift of 10th place. However, they are still 12 clear of Livingston, who play Hearts on Sunday. It's hard to criticise a team that have won 3-0, but there were elements of the win that will frustrate as much as delight. David Gray's side were exceptional in the first half, cutting Kilmarnock to ribbons on numerous occasions. Dane Scarlett and Elding's physical partnership worked wonders while wing- backs Obita and Passlack zoomed up and down the flanks to superb effect. At 2-0 up though, Hibs took their foot off the gas and allowed Kilmarnock far more time and space to try to make an impact on the game. In fact, the only shot Hibs took in the second half was Suto's 94th-minute strike, which came as Kilmarnock threw men forward. Many would argue 2-0 is not enough to rely on, as was shown in August when Hibs were two goals ahead of Kilmarnock and drew 2-2, but perhaps times have changed. After all, this was Hibs' third clean sheet in a row and they are now six unbeaten. But that statistic doesn't include the goalless draws with Motherwell and bottom club Livingston. The second-half stats from Easter Road reveal Kilmarnock were more attacking For all these gripes though, Hibs are just three points behind Motherwell, a team raved about all season. Perhaps it's not all bad. As for Kilmarnock, it was a worry when they went 2-0 down. Neil Mc Cann spoke of the confidence in the group after the past few weeks, but it seemed to evaporate instantly given Elding's early goal. They showed character to come back into the game and threaten a goal, but at the vital moment they lacked killer instinct. They will need to find that quickly and will have eyes on Aberdeen in the hope the Dons continue their freefall. Hibs travel to Aberdeen next Saturday, while Kilmarnock host Dundee at the same time (15: 00 BST).
