Michael Pearlman Wales v Bosnia-Herzegovina (19: 45 GMT) Robert Earnshaw Former Nottingham Forest and Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales Bosnia finished on 17 points, only Italy finished on more points without qualifying for the World Cup, this is a team that was 13 minutes away from topping their group and automatically qualifying. They are dangerous. They have the ability to score goals, they are very good, very physical so they are going to be a danger. It is going to be a great fixture. Wales v Bosnia-Herzegovina (19: 45 GMT) Dzemal Hadziabdic and Ante Rajkovic pictured outside the Vetch in Swansea in 1981 Dzemal Hadziabdic and Ante Rajkovic – are still fondly remembered by Swansea
City supporters of a certain age. Both born in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Rajkovic and
Hadziabdic represented Yugoslavia, with the
latter facing Wales in the European Championships quarter finals in 1976. Hadziabdic joined Swansea in
1980 and quickly became a fans favourite as the Vetch club, under John Toshack,
earned promotion to English football’s top-flight. Compatriot
Rajkovic would join in 1981 and both he and fellow defender Hadziabdic played prominent roles in the Swansea’s unforgettable, yet
brief stay in the First Division. Hadziabdic, affectionately
known by Swansea fans as Jimmy, returned to South Wales in 1992 when he and his
family fled their home city of Mostar during the Bosnian War, which would
witness some of the most vicious fighting of the conflict. Such was the affection for
‘Jimmy’ that Swansea City hosted a benefit match in September 1992 that
featured the stars of the 1981 promotion winning team and raised funds for Hadziabdic and his family – who
had lost everything – as well as for humanitarian aid for the people of Mostar. Hadziabdic would later coach
extensively in the Middle East, including two spells in charge of the Qatar
national side. In August 2015 he was appointed head coach of Iraq – but
departed a day later. They are well drilled and well practiced at this, they've done this many times in the past. I've got full faith in them to get the job done! Wales v Bosnia-Herzegovina (19: 45 GMT) On a more positive note, how about that North Macedonia game? Be honest, how many times did you watch back the highlights? However many it is, you know you want to watch just one more time. This video can not be played Highlights: Wales 7-1 North Macedonia Wales v Bosnia-Herzegovina (19: 45 GMT) Bosnia-Herzegovina are not the only ones to have suffered recent heartbreak. Two years ago today, Wales endured heartache at Cardiff City Stadium. Rob Page's men were unable to break through Poland's stubborn resistance as the Euro 2024 play-off final ended goalless after regular time and 30 minutes of added time. The visitors failed to register a single shot on target across the 120 minutes but progressed to the Euro 2024 finals thanks to a 5-4 win on penalties. Dan James was the only player who failed to score in the shootout. Could be the hero for the hosts tonight? Wales v Bosnia-Herzegovina Vedad IbiševićFormer Bosnia and Herzegovina striker on 5 Live We were a bit unlucky in the last game against Austria, we had the game going in the right direction for long periods of time and it was just unfortunate that they scored. So we could not go directly to the World Cup and got the tough away draw. There's still a chance for us and it starts tonight against a really tough opponent, and I hope the boys can get the win. Use the 'Send us your views' box The team is as strong as it could realistically be considering who is unavailable. Dylan Lawlor and Jay Dasilva need to be brave in the absence of Ben Davies’ passing from deep, especially if the visitors sit in. Luke, Chesire We massively miss Ben Davies but it's a young side that will run their hearts out and give everything. Hopefully Brennan is feeling sharp and confident! Matt, Wrexham Wales v Bosnia-Herzegovina (19: 45 GMT) Helen Ward Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales We have known that Ben Davies would be missing for a long time. Kieffer Moore is more recent and probably stings a bit more. But there is still a lot of quality in there. I think the players who are selected are more than capable of getting the job done. Andy, Yorkshire Wales v Bosnia-Herzegovina (19: 45 GMT) Ian Hunt Presenter on BBC Radio Wales Ian Hunt and Iwan Roberts (looking much younger than they do now) Tonight’s tie certainly evokes lasting memories of Wales’
last meeting with Bosnia – for all sorts of reasons. It was, of course, a night
of unbridled celebration on the pitch as Wales clinched a place at Euro 2016
despite losing 2-0 in their qualifier in Zenica – “the best defeat of my life”
as midfielder (and chief dancer) Joe Ledley put it this week when asked for his
memories. It was also one of the most fascinating trips I’ve been on
to cover Wales for BBC Sport. Before we got to Zenica, we were given a history
lesson in the capital Sarajevo – not about football, but about the brutal
Bosnian war that followed the break-up of the old Yugoslavia in the 1990s.
Former Wales striker Iwan Roberts and I (pictured) had been given a “fixer” –
someone to drive us to the best vantage points for filming our chat for the TV
programme we were working on, put us in touch with locals and generally keep us
safe. One night he explained how the street between our hotel and a bar we
visited came to be known as a sniper’s alley during the conflict – gunmen
stationed on rooftops in the area would target civilians below. You could still
see buildings ridden with bullets as you walked along. It was a fascinating
insight into the bloody history of the city and the brutal siege of Sarajevo
between 1992 and 1995. And a reminder that every Wales away trip is not just a
football match, but also a valuable history lesson if you want to seek out
things beyond the football and the beer. Of course, more journeys of discovery
would await Wales fans in the United States and Canada if they can make it past
Bosnia and then Italy or Northern Ireland in these play-offs. Join us live on BBC Radio Wales and BBC Sounds for full
match coverage from 19: 00. Wales are fantastic going forward, but not as strong as we normally are defensively. We are up against a Bosnia team who like to defend and counter attack. So whichever team carries out their game plan the best will take the spoils. Wales v Bosnia-Herzegovina (19: 45 GMT) Bosnia-Herzegovina fan Mahid is in confident mood tonight: "It's going to be a very difficult game for both teams, very competitive, buy I say 2-1 to Bosnia tonight. "I know a few of the Welsh players, Harry Wilson is good, the team is good, young guys, it's going to be a very good game. "Our star player is Edin Dzeko, I think we need to get him to his last World Cup before he retires. "I'm from Bosnia-Herzgovina but I live in Florida, USA - 50 of us flew in! " Wales v Bosnia-Herzegovina (19: 45 GMT) Dafydd Pritchard BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium Bosnia-Herzegovina’s predominantly youthful line-up is
captained by 40-year-old ex-Manchester City and Inter Milan striker Edin Dzeko. Benjamin Tahirovic, the player at the centre of the
controversy involving manager Sergei Barbarez and Brondby’s Welsh boss Steve Cooper, starts in midfield. Former Arsenal left-back Sead Kolasinac is also recalled. Bosnia-Herzegovina: Vasilj; Dedic, Katic,

Wales v Bosnia-Herzegovina (19: 45 GMT) Dafydd Pritchard BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium Wales head coach Craig Bellamy names a team showing two
changes from the 7-1 thrashing of North Macedonia in November. Leeds United skipper Ethan Ampadu returns from suspension to
captain the team in midfield, replacing Josh Sheehan. He’s joined in midfield by the recalled Jordan James, who
comes in for Liam Cullen. Wales: Darlow; Williams, Rodon, Lawlor, Dasilva; Ampadu, J. James; D. James, Brooks, Wilson, Johnson. Subs: Ward, King, Cabango, Kpakio,
Norrington-Davies, J. Colwill, Sheehan, Cullen, Thomas, Broadhead, Koumas,

Wales v Bosnia-Herzegovina (19: 45 GMT) Vedad IbiševićFormer Bosnia and Herzegovina striker on 5 Live I'm sure they'll be deal with the atmosphere tonight, our fans are similar to yours and usually make a great atmosphere, so they are used to that pressure. For me it is more important that they are ready to answer on the pitch. I've heard that Wales coach Mr Bellamy wants his guys to go all out tonight, our boys need to be ready when the Wales players go out there tonight and they need to chase them. Wales v Bosnia-Herzegovina (19: 45 GMT) Team news is fast approaching, so let's take a quick look at Wales' opponents this evening. Bosnia-Herzegovina
come to Wales looking to take a step closer to what would be just a second
major tournament in their relatively short history. The Bosnians’
finest hour since the national side came into being in 1992 was reaching the
2014 World Cup, when they pipped Greece to top spot in their qualifying group. The likes of
Asmir Begovic, Sead Kolasinac, Miralem Pjanic and Edin Dzeko were in the
squad at the tournament, where they beat Iran but were eliminated at the group
stage after losses against Argentina and Nigeria. Bosnia-Herzegovina
have plenty of experience of play-offs for major tournament qualification – but
they have always ended in heartache. Their most
recent near miss was two years ago, when they missed out on Euro 2024 after
play-off defeat to Ukraine. The Bosnians
are raked 71st in the world by Fifa – 36 places below Wales – but come
into this game in good form, having lost out narrowly to Austria in their World
Cup qualifying group. Their most
recent fixture was a 1-1 draw in Vienna in November, when an away win would
have seen the Bosnians beat Austria to top spot. Their
solitary defeat in the group – and one of only two in their past 11
internationals - was at home to Austria last September. Wales v Bosnia-Herzegovina (19: 45 GMT) Malcolm Allen Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Cymru We have to deal with the tension and the nerves. But more than anything else, we've got to be brave. We have to believe in the game plan from Craig Bellamy, just like they did against North Macedonia in November.
