By WILL PICKWORTH, SPORTS REPORTER Updated: 10: 34 AEDT, 18 December 2025 View comments RECAP Daily Mail Sport's live blog of the Carabao Cup semi-final round draw as the remaining clubs learn their fates.   Chelsea are in the midst of a hectic run of fixtures, and they have two more games on their plate after reaching the Carabao Cup semi-finals following last night's victory over Cardiff. For the latest on Enzo Maresca's bizarre outburst last weekend, how it impacts his future, and news on whether Moises Caicdeo will be suspended for the first leg of the semi-finals, read KIERAN GILL'S CHELSEA CONFIDENTIAL column below. And here's Craig's report from St James' Park, including his promising review on Yoane Wissa's first start for Newcastle. Can the Magpies retain their Carabao Cup crown? They are only two games from Wembley. Here's an update from our Chief Football Reporter CRAIG HOPE who was at St James' Park tonight. Another game that rarely fails to disappoint, and we saw these two sides slugging it out at St James' Park just last month. On that occasion Harvey Barnes was the hero for Newcastle in what was a massive victory for Eddie Howe's side. Man City will be glad that the crucial second leg of this tie is at the Etihad though. Well, don't rule out Crystal Palace, who gave Arsenal a tough time in their Premier League game at the Emirates in October - and have so many qualities and threats. But we did see a particularly feisty game between the Gunners and Chelsea last month, and it is a fixture that rarely fails to disappoint. A reminder that Chelsea will host the first leg, and then play the second leg on the road. As we mentioned, the first leg of these ties will be played in the week commencing January 12. That falls between the FA Cup third round and a full round of Premier League action. I expect after rotating throughout the tournament, all of these teams will go full strength for the final four. The second legs will take place in the week commencing February 2 - with the final on Sunday, March 22. Those games are: Chelsea vs Arsenal/Crystal Palace Newcastle vs Man City And here is the other one! Newcastle will have the honours of hosting the first leg. A sigh of relief perhaps for Pep Guardiola that he won't be forced to go to St James' Park for the second leg. An exciting draw! Chelsea will be at home in the first leg. Here we go and here are your numbers for tonight's draw. 1 - Chelsea 2 - Man City 3 - Newcastle 4 - Arsenal/Crystal Palace We're still waiting on the semi-final draw, but it's expected to follow shortly. It shouldn't take too long though given we only have two fixtures to draw! The semi-final ties will be played in the New Year, with the first leg to take place in the week commencing January 12, and the second leg in the week commencing February 2. What's your view?
